Turntheignitionkeytothe“on”position,butdonotstarttheengine.Wait3secondsforthecode(s)toflash.Thecheckenginelightwillflashthefirstcode,pausefor3seconds,thenflashthenextcode.Forexample,ifcodes2and4arestored,thecheckenginelightwillflashtwice,pauseforthreeseconds,thenflashfourtimes.Whenallcodeshavebeendisplayed,thecheckenginelightwillremainON.

"CheckEngine"lampwillstayonfiveseconds,flashonce,thenbeginflashingfaultcodeswith2.5secondsbetweennumbers.WhenDTChasbeendisplayed,lampremainson.RepeataccessproceduretodisplaynextDTC.IffirstDTCis1444,2444or4444,noDTCsarestored.DTC1000or2000followedbyoneortwoflashes,alongpausedandthenlampremainingonindicatesnomoreDTCsarestored.Referto‘‘DiagnosticTroubleCodeIdentification’’forDTCinterpretation.
ClearingTroubleCodes
Tocleartroublecodes,momentarilydisconnectmulti-pinconnectorfromECM,disconnectbattery,startengine60timesafterrepairwithoutrepeatfailure,orfollowdiagnostictoolmanufacturer’sinstructions.
